Yes, this area is free and open to everyone! There are various spots on the grounds as you walk past the Hill of Youth elevator tower, just outside Ghibli’s Grand Warehouse (which you’ll enter at your designated time using a QR code.) You’re right that this is not in the paid section of Ghibli Park; it’s the public area that you don’t need a ticket to access.
Hi Ru, thanks for comment! There are designated areas around the park where you can eat the food you bring. They have benches and resting spots, etc. You just can't eat it in the sections you enter using your QR code.
Maybe you are thinking of the part "Outside the Ghibli Park area there are park lawns, benches and various resting spots where you can eat the food you bring."
The images brought back so much nostalgia. I'm sure it was 10x in person! Studio Ghibli is the best!
Thanks for reading!
So much nostalgia, Dan! The park is filled with Easter eggs, was a really nice spot to wander around and explore 😌
Says on the park site that you can't bring outside food...
