I was planning to go to Okinawa last year but canceled plans because of a typhoon... I hope to go again soon though. Your pictures from the dive look incredible! Was this a beginner's dive or are you PADI certified?
Claudia, I got Open Water certified last year through an organization called NAUI (similar to PADI). This was maybe my 10th or 11th dive. I’ve done 20 so far so still very much a beginner. Hope you’re able to make it to Okinawa soon!
Thanks for sharing. Okinawa is an interesting place, but don’t go during rainy season, because it ain’t no joke. It rained the whole week I was there. Its history is fascinating. I recommend a visit to the Okinawa Prefectural Museum. It’s got a great collection with strong storytelling.
Amazing travel. I’ve enjoyed learning about each stop and the experiences you have shared
Thank you so much, Elonda! That means a lot 😊
Lovely writing, as always. I enjoyed Okinawa too and we bought two Shisa for our mantelpiece at home!
Thank you, Claire! I love them, my friend bought some for her new home as well. 😌

Thanks, Michael, I loved that museum! Such a great overview of the history and folklore of the region. 🥰
