Thank you, Abbi! I’ll be writing a Great American Road Trip series after I wrap up Postcards from Asia. Feel free to ask any questions or message before then!
Wow Ashleigh! What a fantastic compilation! Great photos as always. And Japan really ranks high -- even w/ the food scene. I remember when Anthony Bourdain asked what was his best meal ever, he mentioned it was in Tokyo, but would not divulge the locale-- as he said it would ruin it for the locals. Have a Happy New Year and continued wonderful travels to you!
I was surprised that you listed New Orleans as #1 on your Best Cities list but not on your Best Food list at all! I lived there for two years and still dream of the food. Crawfish! Beignets! Muffulettas! Sigh...
Toni, you’re completely right, and I still dream about the food there! I tried to limit the number of places to just five, but it was difficult. I loved the red beans and rice, oysters, crawfish, beignets, it’s all too good.
Nice!! Sausalito made your list. I was worried haha. Wonderful list here, Ashleigh. Your 2024 had lots of adventures. I like how you made categories. My favorites are the small towns you listed because I like under-the-radar destinations. Can’t wait to read more of your wanders!
It was a lot of fun to host you! Yes, agreed. You’ve already gotten off to an amazing start and I’m sure you’ve gotten plenty of inspiration from your Asia jaunt!
What an amazing round up! I think Crater Lake is just beautiful, too. What a year!!!
It was a wild year! So glad we met during it :)
Me, too!!!! Can’t wait to see you in Okinawa!
I feel like traveling with you through your words, love it and look forward to your journey in 2025
I love your list so much!!! Toyko and South Korea are on our list! We went to New Orleans this year too! Forks is a must one day for all Twihearts🤣
Come spend more time in Guadalajara! If nothing else, you'll eat well.
Yess, I think it may be impossible to have a bad meal there 😋
Fantastic round-up. I'm really looking forward to Seoul in 2025!
You’re going to love it, Sascha!!
This is incredible and inspiring!!! Would love a post on the Oregon coast + Victoria - attempting to do a similar trip in spring :)

Some great trips there. Mexico is indeed fantastic. Nice to hear that Aruba is safe, I always associate it with Joren van der Sloot!
Lovely summary. Those trips sounds amazing! So glad you could find ways to enjoy Japan. Happy New Year!
